Training for Prospective Regional Instructors for the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP)

BPS RI is carrying out online training for regional agricultural economic survey instructors simultaneously throughout Indonesia from 20 - 23 May 2024. This training is divided into several classes, namely the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) based Inda Candidate for Individual Agricultural Enterprise (UTP) class and the questionnaire/Paper Assisted Personal Interviewing (PAPI) based UTP Inda Candidate class.

As for this training, West Jakarta City BPS Inda candidates are members of the UTP CAPI 1 group which consists of BPS throughout Java and Sumatra, as well as BPS in West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan Provinces which use the CAPI mode in collecting SEP data.

In this class there were 3 facilitators from BPS RI who delivered training material, namely Young Expert Statistics of the Directorate of Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Statistics, Ika Wirawati, First Expert Computer Officer of the Directorate of Statistical Information Systems, Nur Azizah Widowati, and First Expert Statistics of the Directorate of Development Census and Survey Methodology, Rizka Amalia Farentina.

SEP 2024 is a continuation of the Agricultural Census activities which were previously carried out in 2023. SEP activities were carried out to obtain information about the economic aspects of agricultural business units which include information on income, expenses and characteristics of agricultural businesses.

Inda's training aims to produce SEP Instructor Candidates who are competent and ready to teach material to field officers. Therefore, the learning process in this activity does not only include the process of explaining the material but also provides an evaluation of learning outcomes after the learning activity ends so that prospective students can master the material optimally.
