Jakarta Barat’s Labor Force Condition in August 2023

Abstract

The number of labor force in Jakarta Barat based on the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) August 2023 was 1.25 million people. Meanwhile, the number of working population in Jakarta Barat was 1.17 million people. Hence, the Labor Force Participation Rate rose by 0.83 percentage points to 64.8 percent. There were 768 thousand people (65.88%) working in formal sector. The number went up by 1.76 percentage points compared to August 2022. Jakarta’s unemployment rate in August 2023 was 6.39 percent, dropped by 0.71 percentage points compared to August 2022.
