Briefing Updating Enumeration Area (EA SLS) 2024

Wednesday (19/06), As a data producer and statistician, BPS needs to prepare a complete and up-to-date master sample frame to be used in every survey. For this reason, BPS is carrying out the 2024 EA SLS Area Updating Enumeration Officer Briefing activity to update the contents of the SLS (Local Environmental Unit) in the SLS which is undergoing changes. The material was delivered by the Regional Instructor, namely Nurul Hiqmah. The event opened with remarks from the Head of West Jakarta City BPS, namely Muhammad Noval. The briefing participants consisted of two field updating officers and one map processing officer.

The results of the SLS master and up to date SLS maps will be used as a reference in updating the sample frame for BPS survey activities. The field updating of EA SLS activities will be carried out in June-August 2024. The list of SLS identification that has undergone changes was obtained from the results of PODES data collection which was carried out in May 2024.

EA SLS 2024 updating officers will visit SLS locations that have experienced changes and carry out geotagging (geographical marking of area change boundary locations via the Wilkerstat application, correct boundary changes on the SLS area map and calculate the load on the SLS. Furthermore, the results of field updating will be used as basic SLS map processing.
