Thursday (12/06), Rapid progress in the Indonesian economy requires the availability of accurate and up-to-date data, so that dynamic economic changes can be monitored effectively.
BPS supports the provision of economic data through the development of the Statistical Business Register (SBR). SBR is a structured and regularly updated list of economic units in a region. To obtain up-to-date data on the Statistical Business Register (SBR), BPS RI carried out the 2024 Economic Business/Company Directory Updating activity throughout Indonesia. This activity began with holding Regional Instructor Training (Inda).
Inda's training was carried out using two methods, namely through MOOC (web-based distance independent learning program) and online training. The training for the provinces of DKI Jakarta, Banten and DI Yogyakarta will take place from 10 - 13 June 2023. BPS West Jakarta City itself sent 3 participants to take part in the Inda training to later teach field data collection officers.
The training instructors consisted of 3 teachers, Ronaldo H. Simanjuntak (BPS DKI Jakarta Province), Enang Sumarna (BPS Banten Province), and Purwanintiyas (BPS DIY Province), and one supervisor from BPS RI, namely Mrs. Ayu Paramudita.
This activity aims to update economic business/company data which may not have been updated in previous survey activities. Apart from that, this activity aims to delete SBR data from inactive businesses, complete empty variables, and eliminate duplicate data.
The benefits of this activity are expected to improve the quality of SBR data, providing a more accurate and up-to-date business/company database for preparing the master framework for economic surveys and business unit statistical data.
